Abstract
⺠Al2O3 and TiO2 doped CdI2 composites have been prepared at different composition. ⺠The prepared composites were characterized by XRD, DSC and SEM. ⺠The electrical conductivity shows two- to three fold increment as compared to pure CdI2 in the composition range x = 0.3-0.5 mol fraction of the dopants. ⺠The main reason behind this is the role played by the interface region which itself is a disordered region where defect formation and migration enthalpies are notably reduced.
