Abstract
⺠{Y, Dy}-Mn-Sn ternary systems at 770 K are characterized by formation of stannides with general compositions RMn6Sn6 and R4Mn4Sn7. ⺠The crystal structure of YMn6Sn6 was determined by single crystal and powder diffraction methods. ⺠Structural analysis showed that Dy4Mn4Sn7 compound is disordered. ⺠Isostructural R4Mn4Sn7 compounds were also found with Gd, Tb, Ho, Er, Tm(confirmed), Yb, and Lu.
