Abstract
▶ BaTiO3 usually crystallizes in the tetragonal system, but in the present case, pristine and Nd-doped BaTiO3 could be stabilized in the cubic system by employing innovative methods of materials synthesis. ▶ For the first time enthalpy increments of BaTiO3 and Ba0.9Nd0.1TiO3 having cubic crystal structures have been measured in the temperature ranges 573-1523 K by inverse drop calorimetry. ▶ The thermodynamic functions of the cubic phases are reported for the first time.
