Abstract
ⶠA spontaneous pulverization phenomenon was found in the Nd(Fe,Mo)12 strips absorbing nitrogen for the first time. This indicates that the nitrogenation process cannot only prepare all kinds of nitrides, but also pulverize the cast strips of Nd(Fe,Mo)12 alloys. ⶠThe nitrogenation process of the strips can simultaneously prepare single-phase NdFe10.5Mo1.5NX interstitial nitride and pulverize the cast strips, so the pre-crushing of the strips before nitrogenation can be skipped in the preparation process. Base on this, we propose a new technical route of preparing Nd(Fe,Mo)12NX magnetic powders without pre-crushing, and obtain anisotropic NdFe10.5Mo1.5NX powders with Br of 108 emu/g, iHc of 5000 Oe, and (BH)max of 18 MGOe.
