Abstract
▶ The decrease in resistivity and thermopower of Cr1−xTixSb2 may be due to an increase in electron concentration indirectly caused by Ti substitution for Cr. ▶ The decrease in thermal conductivity of Cr1−xTixSb2 with increasing Ti content could be due to an enhancement of phonon scattering by increased number of Ti atoms. ▶ The thermoelectric properties of Cr1−xTixSb2 was optimized, for instance, at 310 K, the ZT of Cr0.97Ti0.03Sb2 was ∼11% larger than that of CrSb2.
