Abstract
ⶠZn-volatility can lead to poor compositional control during PdZn intermetallic phase synthesis. ⶠAerosol synthesis methods provide rapid intermetallic phase formation at reduced temperatures, reducing Zn-volatility effects and providing tighter control of composition. ⶠCombined X-ray/Neutron powder diffraction data analysis in conjunction with electron microprobe analysis leads to a precise description of the PdZn L10 structure.
