Abstract
► We have studied the relation between ferromagnets and superconductors in (La1.85Sr0.15CuO4)1−x (La2/3Sr1/3MnO3)x matrix composites. ► To avoid the destruction of CuO2 planes in LSCO with intercalation of LSMO, we choose the low sintering temperature and short sintering time. ► The superconductivity still exists with x = 0.20 in our study, while other studies with x = 0.015 only. ► The results demonstrate that there are coexistence and competition between superconductivity and ferromagnetism in (La1.85Sr0.15CuO4)1−x (La2/3Sr1/3MnO3)x matrix composites.
