Abstract
ⶠIn this paper, the crystallization kinetics of Mg61Cu28Gd11 and (Mg61Cu28Gd11)99.5Sb0.5 bulk metallic glasses have been studied for the first time using differential scanning calorimeter technique. ⶠThe isochronal and isothermal DSC annealing techniques are both employed to investigate systematically the crystallization behaviors of two glassy alloys. ⶠThe possible reason for the improvement of crystallization resistance by minor addition of Sb which has positive mixing of heat with Cu has been discussed in this paper, which will be helpful for the further composition design of Mg-based glassy alloys.
