Abstract
The effects of Ar and Ar + 4%H2 annealing environments on the microstructure and magnetic properties of the FePt–TiO2 and CoPt–TiO2 nanocomposite films were investigated. Results showed that the annealing environments affect the phase transformations of L10-FePt and L10-CoPt alloys greatly. The Ar + 4%H2 significantly improved the L10-ordering of FePt–TiO2 and CoPt–TiO2 nanocomposites compared to the Ar. The CoPt–TiO2 nanocomposite exhibited better L10-ordering and larger coercivity than those of FePt–TiO2 due to the better oxidation resistance.
