Abstract
â¶ Doping more than 10 at.% Sc3+ can stabilize calcite phase of LuBO3 up to 1550 °C. â¶ Luminescence properties of Lu1âxScxBO3:Ce solid solutions depend on the Sc/Lu ratio. â¶ Luminescence properties of Lu1âxScxBO3:Ce solid solutions depend on the Ce/RE ratio. â¶ Integrated intensity of (Lu0.5Sc0.5)0.995Ce0.005BO3 crystal can achieve 27% of LYSO:Ce crystal. â¶ Lu1âxScxBO3:Ce could be a potential scintillator in X-ray or γ-ray detection technology.
