Abstract
â¶ Our research highlights on preparing a novel stable red phosphors with strong luminescence. â¶ Eu3+ is doped in CaIn2O4 host lattice to obtain a red emission phosphor, and alkali metal ions such as Li+, Na+, K+ are co-doped as charge compensators to improve the optical properties of the Eu3+ doped CaIn2O4. â¶ The effects of the charge compensation on the luminescent properties of different alkali metal ions are investigated. â¶ The performance of our phosphors is also compared to some popular red phosphors of Y2O2S:Eu3+ and CaMoO4:Eu3+. â¶ We believe the findings may interest general readers as well as experts in broad fields of rare earths and optical material.
