Abstract
▶ Deposition of Pd-based coatings onto hydride forming alloys enhances hydrogenation. ▶ Pd-modified alloys exhibit fast hydrogenation after long-term exposure to air. ▶ Modification route strongly influences surface morphology and hydrogenation rate. ▶ Pd surface modification is especially efficient after aminosilane functionalization. ▶ Pd deposition after fluorination adds poisoning tolerance towards CO2 and CO.
