Abstract
â¶ MgH2-LiAlH4 and NaBH4-MgH2 hydride composites can be synthesized by ball milling. â¶ Hydride compositing decreases desorption temperature of high temperature component. â¶ Hydrogen desorption in the hydride composites involves two steps. â¶ The thermodynamic destabilization can be an effect of solid solution formation. â¶ Both phenomena catalytic influence and intermetallic phase formation can be observed.
