Abstract

Mg–Mn nanoparticles ferrites are prepared by a simple and cost-effective method. The influence of gamma-irradiation on the structural and magnetic properties on MgxMn1−xFe2O4; x = 0. 0, 0.15, and 0.25 ferrite nanoparticles have been studied. A facile as-prepared method, nanoparticles formed. The well-characterized nanoparticles by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses, transmission electron microscope (TEM), and the magnetic properties studied. The results reveal that, X-ray patterns confirmed the formation of cubic single-phase structure and the value of lattice constant and the particle size increased after irradiation due to the ionization of ferric ions of smaller size to ferrous ions of larger size. The increasing of magnetic parameters is due to the surface states pinning of domains is released.
