Abstract

Lithium metavanadate thin films were successfully deposited on glass substrates by spray pyrolysis technique at substrate temperature of 250 °C. 0.2 M spraying solution was prepared by mixing appropriate volumes of LiCl and VCl3 solutions. Structural, vibrational and optical properties of deposited film are discussed. X-ray diffraction and micro-Raman spectroscopy have revealed that LiVO3 with monoclinic symmetry was obtained. Optical properties of thin film were studied from transmission measurement in the range UV–Visible.
