Abstract
New experimental values of the enthalpies of formation of intermediate phases in the Mg–Zn system at 298 K using drop-solution calorimetry in liquid tin solvent at 665 K are presented and compared with the literature data. The heat content of MgZn2 is also measured at high temperature in order to deduce the evolution of the enthalpy of formation.
