Abstract
LiV3O8 powders were prepared by combustion synthesis, using metallic nitrates as the oxidant and metal sources and urea as fuel. The effect of (Li + V)/CO(NH2)2 ratio and heat-treatment temperature on the structure and electrochemical properties were discussed. The electrochemical behavior of the product showed that sample B1 synthesized at 300 °C with 1:0.5 ratio of (Li + V)/CO(NH2)2 showed the highest initial discharge capacity of 317.3 mAh g−1 and the best cycle ability with 238.9 mAh g−1 after 30 cycles.
