Abstract

Magnetoelectric (ME) composites of Ni0.93Co0.02Mn0.05Fe1.95O4–PZT were prepared using the conventional solid-state double sintering technique. X-ray analyses confirm the presence of both phases in the composites. Scanning electron microscopy was employed for micro-structural studies. Magnetic property measurements on the samples were carried out using a vibrating sample magnetometer. Magnetic hysteresis loops were observed in the composites. The saturation magnetization was found to decrease with increasing concentration of PZT in accordance with the Bruggeman model. Magnetoelectric output as a function of composition and a.c. magnetic field was studied and the results presented herein.
