Abstract
Spray technique has been used to prepare Ni/Al-layered double hydroxides (Ni/Al-LDHs) on the basis of chemical co-precipitation method. Experimental results show that the material obtained has higher crystallinity and larger specific surface area than that synthesized by the original method. On the other hand, it has higher electrochemical activity and specific capacity. The highest specific capacities reach 348Â mAh/g and 321Â mAh/g when discharged at 0.5Â C rate and 2Â C rate, respectively. The electrodes exhibit better electrochemical reversibility, cycle stability and charge-discharge performance. Also, these superiorities become more obvious with the electrodes scanned or charge-discharged at higher rate.
