Abstract
Ternary and quaternary chemical composition ranges of the phases NiSi2, FeSi2, Cu3Si, NiSi and FeSi were determined using electron-microprobe-measurements. The system NiSi2–Cu3Si was found to be eutectic and most probably quasi-binary. Furthermore lattice constants of NiSi2 and Ni0.62Fe0.41Si1.98 were determined by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD).
