Abstract
In this study, the effects of B2O3 addition on both the sintering behavior and microwave dielectric properties of La4Ba2Ti5O18 hexagonal perovskite were investigated. The results indicate that B2O3 can promote the formation of La4Ba2Ti5O18 hexagonal perovskite and can be used as a sintering aid to reduce the sintering temperature to 1200-1300 °C. The microwave dielectric properties of La4Ba2Ti5O18 hexagonal perovskite with B2O3 shows a high dielectric constant of 30, a high quality factor with Qxf in the 10,000-20,000 GHz range, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency of 55 ppm/°C.
