Abstract
The cesium tungstophosphate glasses xCsPO3(1 − x)WO3 (x = 0.20–0.90) were examined by means of nanoindentation. A linear decrease of the Young's modulus and drastic decrease of hardness were observed for the glasses with x > 0.35. The hardness and the Young's modulus were found to be in a range of 5.1–0.8 and 49.0–23.5 GPa, respectively.
