Abstract
One step, wet chemical synthesis of several complex fluorides is described. Formation of single phase compounds was confirmed by XRD. In some cases study of photoluminescence by Eu2+ activation supported the conclusions. It is suggested that availability of such powders will greatly facilitate growth of single crystals for solid-state lasers.
