Abstract
Rapidly quenched fully amorphous ribbon and disks obtained by high-pressure torsion of Al85Y8Ni5Co2 composition were investigated by synchrotron X-ray radiation and differential scanning calorimetry. It was shown that the primary crystalline phase nucleates after severe plastic deformation is fcc-Al, similarly to isothermal annealing, however, significant differences in the thermal stability of two processes were detected.
