Abstract
In our research it was firstly found that BaTiO3 materials doped with BaBiO3 only showed negative temperature coefficient effect over a wide temperature range. The influence of different BaBiO3 content on the microstructure and electrical properties of BaTiO3-based NTC thermistors has been studied. With increasing BaBiO3 content the resistivity and coefficient of temperature sensitivity decrease. Also, at a given BaTiO3 and BaBiO3 content, as the amount of Y2O3 in BaTiO3-based thermistors increases the resistivity decreases to a minimum value and then increases again. Similarly the amount of Y2O3 has the same effect on the coefficient of temperature sensitivity for those samples.
