Electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and magnetoresistance were studied for Cr1−xRuxSb2 (x = 0 and 0.1). The electrical measurements show that Cr1−xRuxSb2 (x = 0 and 0.1) are semiconductive in the temperature range from 4.2 to 300 K. The anomalies are observed near 50 K on the logarithm of resistivity log ρ versus 1/T and the magnetic susceptibility χ versus T curves for CrSb2. The values of the magnetoresistance Δρ/ρ(0) for CrSb2 are positive in all temperature range investigated, reaching 20% at 90 kOe. The Δρ/ρ(0) versus T curves at various fields make the maxima near 20 K for CrSb2. On the other hand, the values of Δρ/ρ(0) for Cr0.9Ru0.1Sb2 are negative and small in the temperature range from 1.6 to 250 K. Based on the experimental results, discussions are made for the electronic states of these compounds.
