Abstract
This paper investigates the luminescence properties of erbium doped potassium tantalite niobate (KTN) ceramics, which are prepared by the solid state synthesized method. In this work, we study the relations between Raman and photoluminescence (PL) spectra with the niobium concentration, respectively. The experiments show that the PL spectra are a function of niobium concentrations. It is found that the relative intensity of blue, green and red light transitions can be modified while the concentrations of Nb dopant were changed. It has the potential by using this host-doped effect to tune the phosphor into a white light phosphor.
