Abstract
The phenomenon of negative magnetoresistivity (NM) at low magnetic fields has been detected in the RM4Al8 ternaries where R = Sc, Y, Ce, Yb, Lu, and M = Cr, Mn and Fe. The mechanisms responsible for this phenomenon have been carefully analyzed. It has been shown for the first time that the appearance of the NM for these compounds results from the Kondo effect combined with spin-glass state following crystallographic disorder.
