Abstract
Sm3Fe27.5Ti1.5 alloy produced in the form of ribbon by the melt-spinning technique consisted of the Sm(Fe, Ti)7 phase. Annealing of the Sm3Fe27.5Ti1.5 melt-spun ribbon at high temperatures resulted in the formation of the Sm3(Fe, Ti)29 phase. The Sm-Fe-Ti melt-spun ribbon with the Sm3(Fe, Ti)29 phase exhibited a maximum coercivity of 240Â kAÂ mâ1, exceeding that of the ribbon with the Sm(Fe, Ti)7 phase.
