Abstract
Isothermal sections of the phase diagrams of the Er-{Fe,Co}-{Ti,V} systems have been investigated by means of X-ray analysis. Existence of the ErM12âxMâ²x (M = Fe, Co; Mâ²Â = Ti, V) ternary compounds (ThMn12 structure type, space group I4/mmm) have been confirmed and their homogeneity ranges were determined. Formation of the ErM2-based solid solutions ErM2âxMâ²x (MgCu2 structure type, space group Fd-3m) was observed. Hydrogen absorption of the ErFe2âxMx (M = Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Mo) alloys has been investigated.
