Abstract
Non-isothermal and isothermal oxidation studies of quaternary and quinary Zr-based metallic glasses have been carried out in static air and their relative oxidation behavior has been studied. Effect of different structures developed during controlled heat treatment and the effect of alloying elements on the oxidation behavior of the alloys have been discussed. The oxidation kinetics follow parabolic rate law in these glasses.
