Abstract
Zr41Ti14Cu12.5Ni10Be22.5 glassy spheres with diameter 80-1000 μm are prepared by containerless processing technique of a 52-m drop tube. Glass transition behavior and crystallization kinetics of the Zr41Ti14Cu12.5Ni10Be22.5 glassy spheres solidified at various overheating temperatures are investigated. The experimental results indicate that the overheating temperature of droplets makes a notable impact on the glass transition and crystallization. The glassy sphere solidified at higher overheating temperature exhibits higher crystallization temperature, apparent activation energy of the glass transition and main crystallization reaction when heated.
