Abstract
The phase relations in the Cu–Ag–Zr ternary system at 1023 K have been studied by using diffusion triple together with EPMA technique. The tie-lines for two-phase equilibrium were drawn and tie-triangles for three-phase equilibrium were estimated. Then, the isothermal section at 1023 K has been established, which consists of 9 three-phase fields. A ternary phase was confirmed, whose composition is about Cu67.7–75.2Ag9.2–15.4Zr15.2–17.2. The AgZr2 and CuZr2 were found to form a continuous solid solution, which can be represented as (Ag, Cu)Zr2.
