Abstract

The influence of isothermal (500–700 K) and isochronous (2 h, 1 h and 5 min) annealing on optimization of soft magnetic properties effect in Fe78−x Nbx Si13 B9 (x=0x=0, 2, 4) amorphous alloys is examined in detail. The influence of Nb content on the optimization annealing temperature, the Curie temperature, the crystallization (primary and secondary) temperature and magnetic as well as electric properties were determined. It was shown that the optimization annealing carried out at higher temperatures for shorter times is more efficient and gives better soft magnetic material. Nb as an alloying addition improves soft magnetic properties (mainly permeability) of the examined alloys in the as quenched state and also after the optimization annealing.
