Abstract
A special modified vertical Bridgman and Stockbarger technique was used to achieve detached solidification for Cd0.78Zn0.22Te crystals. We investigated the anisotropy of transport properties for the first time for Cd0.78Zn0.22Te crystals. The influence of temperature on the electrical conductivity and Hall mobility were carried out in the two crystallographic directions in the temperature range 228-500 K. The dependence of anisotropic factor Ïâ¥/Ï⥠on temperature was investigated. Throughout this work various physical parameters such as, (effective mass of charge carriers, carriers mobility, diffusion coefficient, the relaxation time for both majority and minority carriers) in the two crystallographic directions were found.
