Abstract
Mg is easy to be lost in the alloy melting progress for it's low melting point, So in this paper MgNi2 is added to the alloy in order to avoid the lose of Mg. Through this method, a new kind of La-rich AB5 hydrogen alloys with little Mg is made. The change of the electrochemical performance of the alloys is investigated, especially the high-rate capability. The composition and structure of the alloys is analyzed by inductively coupled plasma (ICP), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM). Meanwhile the electrochemical mechanism was researched through the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and cyclic anodic polarization curves.
