Abstract
A new Al-Cr phase structurally similar to triclinic Al11Mn4 was revealed at about Al3Cr composition. It is formed between 700 and 800 °C by a peritectoid reaction from Al4Cr and the low-temperature γ-phase. The Al4Cr-phase was confirmed to have a hexagonal structure with a ≈ 2.00 and c ≈ 2.46 nm.
