Abstract
This experimental study analyses the effects of hydrogen sorption cycling on the hydrogen storage properties of LaNi4.8Sn0.2. This AB5-type alloy is used in the first stage of a metal hydride compressor prototype. During 1000 cycles of aging, the hydrogen storage capacity of the alloy has been reduced by 2.2%, the alloy particle size decreased but the crystalline structure and the reaction kinetic remained nearly unchanged.
