Abstract
Magnetoelastic properties of some intermetallic compounds are investigated. In the first part of the work the results for the RMn2Ge2 (R = Sm, Gd, Dy) and RxSm1−xMn2Ge2 compounds are presented. Then the data for Nd3Mn4Sn4 are reported. In the second part of the work the data for HoRhSi and HoPdSn are discussed. In all the investigated compounds the change of the magnetic structure is connected with an anomaly in the temperature dependence of the lattice parameters.
