Abstract
Thermodynamic re-evaluation of the C–Ni–Ti system was carried out in order to make replacing of expensive cobalt possible in cemented carbides. No ternary compound exists in C–Ni–Ti system. Re-evaluation was made in order to maintain consistency in C–Ni–Ti–W system. Lattice sites were calculated in integers, except NiTi (B2_bcc) and Dis_B2 (disordered Ti), which were made with decimal numbers.
