Abstract
We have measured the temperature dependence of the magnetization on single crystals of the RMn6Sn6 compounds with RÂ =Â Gd, Tb, Dy and Ho. The observed magnetic-ordering temperatures and the anisotropy types agree well with earlier results from literature. Measurements of the magnetization with the field applied along the main crystallographic directions have been made at 4.2Â K in magnetic fields up to 55Â T. Field-induced transitions are observed that are interpreted in terms of the interplay between the antiferromagnetic intersublattice R-Mn coupling and the magnetocrystalline anisotropy.
