Abstract
Polycrystalline samples of Na1.5Co2−xAgxO4 (x = 0, 0.1 and 0.2) were synthesized from powder precursors prepared by a polymerized complex (PC) method. The thermoelectric power (S) and electrical resistivity (ρ) of Na1.5Co2−xAgxO4 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2) were measured simultaneously in a helium atmosphere, in the temperature range from room temperature to 973 K. The thermoelectric power and power factor of Na1.5Co1.8Ag0.2O4 are higher than that of Na1.5Co2O4 over a wide range of temperatures.
