Abstract
In this study, two variations of WBC (Wire-woven Bulk Cross) fabricated using straight wires instead of helical wires are introduced, and their mechanical properties under compression or shear loading are investigated by numerical simulation and experiments. The benefits and potential are discussed in comparison to ordinary WBC and the other wire-woven metals.
