Flower-like MWCNTs/Bi2O2CO3 composites composed of Bi2O2CO3 nanosheets and MWCNTs were prepared by a simple solvothermal method. These composites all showed higher photocatalytic activities than pure Bi2O2CO3 for the degradation of RhB or 4-CP under simulated solar light irradiation. Among them, the MWCNTs/Bi2O2CO3 composite with 3 wt% MWCNTs (M/B-3%) exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity and excellent stability. The enhanced photocatalytic performance could be attributed to the enhanced light absorption and efficient separation of photogenerated charge carriers.
