Abstract
Micron porous copper (MPC) was prepared successfully by physical vacuum dealloying (PVD) of Cu30Zn70 alloy. MPC shows a three-dimensional continuous porous structure with channel and ligament size of 1±0.5 μm, and pores size of 2-5 μm. The temperature is the key factor for physical dealloying, and the optimized temperature is about 500 °C for CuZn alloy in our study. Physical vacuum dealloying was demonstrated one effectively preparation method for MPC, and physical vacuum dealloying can be used to prepare other porous metal based on sublimation and kirkendall effect.
