Abstract
•Laminated BFO–BTO/BYIG composite was prepared by the solid-state sintering method.•The ferroelectric property was enhanced by the laminated composite.•The maximum ME coefficient of the composite is about 0.87 mV/cm Oe.
In the present work, the laminated 0.65BiFeO3–0.35BaTiO3/BiY2Fe5O12 composite targeting low cost lead-free magnetic field sensor, which was prepared by the conventional solid-state sintering method, was reported. Excellent ferroelectric, magnetic and magnetoelectric properties can be observed in the laminated composite. The ME response was characterized as the functions of frequency and dc magnetic field. The maximum ME coefficient of the composite reaches up to about 0.87 mV/cm Oe.
