Abstract
► Polypyrrole electrodes were prepared for electrochemical supercapacitors. ► Pulse electropolymerization was performed using tiron as an anionic dopant. ► High materials loading was obtained using commercial Ni plaque current collectors. ► Porous polypyrrole electrodes showed capacitance of 1.01 F cm−2. ► Electrodes showed good capacitance retention at high scan rates and cycling stability.
