Abstract

GaFe0.75Mn0.25O3 was synthesized by a sol–gel process. The X-ray diffraction pattern analysis using the Rietveld refinement method indicated that the sample has an orthorhombic structure. Magnetization measurement shows that GaFe0.75Mn0.25O3 has ferromagnetic behavior with TC=212 K. Dielectric investigations revealed a temperature independent anomaly at around 255 K with frequency dispersion of dielectric constant. The low temperature high-resolution synchrotron data analysis shows that lattice parameters also reveal an anomaly at 225 K without a change in the crystal structure.
