Abstract
⺠Facile growth of horizontally suspended carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is reported. ⺠The thickness of HSCNT mats is tunable. ⺠The Raman spectra indicate an uneven quality distribution along CNTs. ⺠The distribution is ascribed to the decay of catalyst activity in CNT growth.
