Abstract

We prepare Li2MnO3 and LiNi0.5Mn0.3Co0.2O2 as nanostructure cathode materials using a high-energy ball milling method with bulk-type electrodes. The nanostructure electrodes prepared by the ball milling exhibit much smaller particle sizes in diameter than those of bulk-type electrodes. The 1st charge–discharge capacitance and efficiency of the nanostructure cathode materials are superior to those of the bulk-type electrodes.
